After the installation of satellite dishes is completed, you can proceed to the setup stage. Before doing this, however, learn all the necessary parameters to make the correct setup.

Instructions

Step 1

First, find out which satellite you will be tuning the antenna to. In addition, you need to know the azimuth, elevation, LNB angle and direction to a specific satellite. If you do not have such information, contact the specialists in satellite equipment or go to a specialized site where, by entering the name of the satellite and the geographical coordinates of the antenna installation site, you will receive all the necessary values.

Step 2

In accordance with the received data, rotate the converter. Depending on how the antenna is located in relation to the 75th meridian, rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. If you took data from the site, please note that the direction of rotation of the converter is indicated there with the condition that the person is behind the antenna mirror. Be careful: on the scale of the converter, small divisions correspond to 5 degrees, and large divisions correspond to 10. Using a compass, plot the azimuth value clockwise from the North Pole.

Step 3

The angle value is calculated for antennas without taking into account the offset angle that is different for each antenna. If you have a World Vision, Golden Interstar or Supral antenna, then the manufacturer has already taken into account the offset angle in the elevation angle when calculating the scale on the antenna mount. If you have a different brand of antenna, calculate the elevation using the formula: UM = UM (dishpointer) 0-240.

Step 4

Setting up a satellite dish will be successful if you have specialized equipment. If there is none, tune the antenna using the receiver, but keep in mind that it will be extremely difficult to perfectly adjust the receiver scale. Also remember that a poor-quality antenna setting will not give you a power reserve for bad weather conditions, due to which the signal deteriorates.

Step 5

Turn on the "Installation" menu in the receiver and select the required satellite and one of its transponders in the TP settings. Next, adjust the quality and signal strength scales, focusing on the quality value: with a good signal, it should exceed 50%.

Step 6

By changing the direction of the antenna mirror by moving it towards the satellite, try to maximize the signal strength. The antenna is then ready for use.
