Instructions
Step 1
Install the satellite dish in a place where there will be no objects covering it. These include tall trees with a spreading crown and adjacent buildings. Since the satellite NTV + or Eutelsat W4 is located strictly in the south, it is best to tune it in the sun. At 13.00 Moscow time, it is just in this direction. In addition, the location angle or tilt angle of the antenna should be known. For example, in the southern part of Russia it will be directed upward by about 45 degrees, in Moscow it will stand almost vertically, in St. Petersburg it will look “into the ground”. This is due to the curvature of the offset satellite dish mirror.
Step 2
Install a circular polarized converter on the satellite dish, preferably with the plug facing downward so that moisture does not get in. Connect the coaxial cable from the converter to the receiver, and from it to the TV. Turn on the tuner. Find the channel of the receiver on your TV. Using the buttons on the tuner remote control, set the NTV + info channel in the menu according to the parameters 11900 R 27500. When 0% signal quality and 0% power are set in the channel window, start turning the antenna left-right. After passing the sector, raise or lower the dish one degree and scan the horizon again. If there is no NTV + satellite in the tuner settings, set the Eutelsat W4 satellite (local oscillator frequency 10750) in the menu, turn on the converter power, DiSEqC input, turn off and try again to find channels on the NTV + transponder.
Step 3
Fix the antenna after a strong signal appears. It will be seen by the change in the percentage values of the signal strength and power in the channel window. In the same way, tune the satellite dish to the FTA (open) NTV channel on the ABS 1 75e satellite. It is located on the 12640V22000 transponder. This requires a Ku-band linear converter, these technical data are written on its case. Satellite ABS 1 75e is located to the left of the Eutelsat W4 satellite.
