The abundance of video recording formats can force the owner of the TV to purchase not one, but two players. How they are connected depends on the number of low frequency inputs on your TV.

Instructions

Step 1

Before starting work, disconnect all devices: TV and both players.

Step 2

Inspect both the back wall and the front of the TV. If it has two video inputs, connect one player to the first one and the other to the second. If necessary, use RCA-SCART or SCART-RCA adapters (ready-made or homemade). RCA plugs and sockets are color coded: yellow for video, white for audio. If the signal source and TV are stereo, the white connectors are used to feed the left channel sound, and the red ones, which are not available on monaural devices at all, are used for the right one.

Step 3

If your TV has only one video input, never switch cables every time you need to disconnect one player and connect another. This will cause rapid wear of the connectors, and if you simultaneously touch the contacts of the connectors that are not currently connected to each other, you can get a noticeable electric shock.

Step 4

If one of the players is a recording player and has a modulator, connect it at a high frequency. To do this, disconnect the antenna from the TV, connect it to the antenna input of the player, and connect the antenna output with the high-frequency cable supplied with the device to the antenna input of the TV. Then it will have to be tuned to the same channel as the modulator. Connect the second player as usual - to the video input.

Step 5

If the TV has only one video input and there are no modulators for both players, use a signal switch. It has two groups of inputs for audio and video signals and one group of outputs for such signals. Connect the players to the inputs of the switch, and the TV to its outputs. To select the player that sends a signal to the TV, move the switch on the switch to the appropriate position. Such switches do not have remote control.
