Since HP cartridges are monobloc, it is much easier to rinse them, but they will dry faster. There are many flushing liquids, both internal, which must be pumped with a syringe through the foam rubber of the cartridge, and external, which are poured into trays to soak the heads.

Step 1
In the case of HP, both of these types can be used. Now all inks for black HP cartridges are pigment, so flushing should be appropriate. Color cartridges are non-pigmented and require different washes.
Step 2
Make sure the ink soaks the sponge all the way down to the bottom of the cartridge. If the impregnation is incomplete, the cartridge simply won't print. This inattention is the main part of errors when refueling the printer by non-professionals.
Step 3
Follow the instructions supplied with the printer to start the head nozzle priming operation. The operation is activated by the HP Toolbox software. After that, the printer should print properly.
Step 4
If this does not work, rinse the cartridge with hot running water. Bring it to the stream of water in the area where the nozzles are located (i.e. where the ink comes out), hold it for 2-3 seconds, no more! Blot the cartridge with a towel or dry it with a hair dryer (just make sure the air temperature is not too high), then reinsert it into the printer and run the head nozzle cleaning operation several times through the HP Toolbox software.
Step 5
If that doesn't work, take a disposable syringe without a needle (you won't need it), plug four of the five holes with your fingers, insert the syringe into the remaining hole, and press the syringe plunger. This will create pressure that will push the ink through the nozzles on the cartridge. It is better to do this over the sink so as not to dirty everything around.
Step 6
If the cartridge has been in the desk for a couple of weeks or even more, then most likely it has simply dried out. If this happens, it is necessary to rinse the foam rubber in the cartridge with warm water several times. You can also do this with internal flushing fluid and then place the cartridge in a warm place to dry.
Step 7
Then try refilling it with ink and printing. Finally, you can immerse only the print head in hot water (boiling water) for a couple of hours. If severe blockages occur, add 50% alcohol to the water.
