Over time, any disc players begin to work poorly and do not read discs of high quality. The whole problem lies in the clogging of the turntable head, because the discs are not placed there sterile clean, and in order for the head to clog up, a lot of visible dirt is not required. You can take the player to a service center, or you can do it yourself, especially since cleaning the dvd head is not so difficult.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the lens of the head. It is located near the spindle that rotates the disk. The head looks like the most ordinary lens, only very small (less than a nail on the little finger).
Step 2
Then, take a dry cotton swab and gently run it over the lens surface. Do this lightly because the lens itself is suspended on spools that position it during the workflow. And pressing too hard can damage the precision movement. This will cause your player to stop reading discs altogether.
Step 3
Use a special cleaning fluid available from a hardware store. Apply it to a cosmetic cotton swab and clean as you used to clean your tape heads. Then take a cambric cloth or eyeglass cloth and gently wipe dry.
Step 4
Use cleaning discs. This is one of the options, but the entire user community is very skeptical about this invention and does not see much benefit and productivity from such a cleaning. But, as they say, since such a thing exists, it means not everything is so bad, and they, after all, work. However, there is one "but". A cleaning disc, no matter how good it is, can only remove dirt from the surface, leaving a pile of dust under the head.
Step 5
Use "joint" cleaning. First, run a special cleaning disc that will remove dirt from the surface of the dvd-head, and then disassemble the player and clean the remaining dirty areas by hand. Thus, you can not be afraid of damage to the surface of the lens head, if, say, your hand trembled. Do this overhaul from time to time. For example, every few months. Do not wait for “jumping” or other interference during playback to start.
