Taking photographs is not a tricky business. But sometimes not all photos suit us: either the distant background is not suitable, or something is missing. This is where we turn to Photoshop, edit, tweak, add some effects. But the possibilities of Photoshop are not limited to this, you can use it even if everything suits you in the photo. Today we will try to combine two photos into one using Photoshop CS4, and these photos may even have different sizes. Follow our step by step instructions.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to Photoshop. Select the File tab, click Open. You should see the "Folder" window open.

Step 2

Select in the "Folder" the file with the first photo to be connected. Then click "Open". Your chosen image should be loaded into Photoshop for editing.

Step 3

Load the second photo in the same way: "File" - "Open" - "Folder".

Step 4

Place photos in adjacent windows. To do this, do the following: "Window" - "Arrange" - "Horizontal".

Step 5

Begin to connect the photos, to do this, select the "Move" action on the toolbar.

Step 6

Move. Hold down one photo with the left mouse button and drag it onto another. You will end up with one photograph overlaid on top of another.

Step 7

Open the "Layers" tab (on the right side of the screen), there you need to select "Background" by clicking on it with the mouse. You will see the "New Layer" window, click the "Yes" button to rename the layer. Now click on "Layer 1" (located above the back layer). Select "Free Transform" on the toolbar, you can select it by pressing the "Ctrl + T" keys.

Step 8

Determine which photo you will have active, which you will adapt to another. A frame for editing will appear around the photo you will be editing. Hold down the "Shift" key and resize the photo, make it taller, lower, shorter or longer. Adjust the active photo to match another photo. When the dimensions of the photo match, press "Enter".

Step 9

Make the connection line of the images invisible. To do this, select "Layer 1" and click on the "Add layer mask" icon. A "Mask Layer" icon should appear next to Layer 1. On the toolbar, select "Gradient", select the color type "Black, White".

Step 10

Press the "Shift" key while holding it down, draw a line from the beginning of the connection of the images downward, determine the distance yourself. Now the connecting line of the images will be invisible. Experiment by connecting shots!
