Often users want to connect their personal computer to the TV for the convenience of watching movies and photos. There are several ways to connect.
Instructions
Step 1
If the video card of the computer and the TV have compatible inputs / outputs (for example, S-Video or HDMI), the connection is reduced to finding a suitable cable and setting the TV to the input signal.
Step 2
The latest video cards usually lack TV-OUT, while older TVs lack HDMI input. In this case, sometimes an adapter cable can help, at one end it has a D-SUB or DVI connector, at the other - SCART or RCA, suitable for any TV. It should only be remembered that such adapters will work only if analog video signals are supplied to the output of the computer's video card, which is true for most laptops, but does not correspond to the truth for the latest desktop video cards.
Step 3
You can use an adapter that converts digital PC signals into analog ones for TV on the fly. Such devices are produced by Aver under the AverKey lineup, the most affordable of which is AverKey Lite. The method works with any TV and with any PC, but the image quality and color rendition leave much to be desired.
Step 4
It should be remembered that with any connection option, the TV cannot replace a full-fledged monitor. Watching movies on a large-screen TV, of course, is much more convenient, but, alas, it will not work with text.
