Step 1
You don't need to suffer for a long time to disable the tariff. Just stop using the Internet, and you will be disconnected after a while, and your number will be registered for another person. Such an operation is carried out with all SIM cards that for some reason have gone out of use, so that unnecessary numbers do not "hang" idle. The modem has a built-in SIM card (but you probably know about this, because after buying a modem, you insert a SIM card into the modem yourself).
Step 2
There are no special problems from the computer either. The modem is a flash device, so pay attention to the usual operation you should do when removing a flash drive: safe removal. On many computers, the safe removal icon does not appear when working with such modems, but if this is not your case, then do not neglect this opportunity.
Step 3
But generally speaking, there is a certain procedure for disabling the MTS Connect program. Do not neglect it, because otherwise you may have connection problems in the future (for example, the computer will not "see" the flash drive the next time, and you will have to reinstall the program). Start by closing all browsers and programs that use the Internet. Then open the program (usually the MTS Connect icon appears in the lower right corner of the screen) and click "disconnect". After that, close the program itself and remove the modem.
Step 4
You can disable MTS Connect in another way. Open the "connections" folder, the telephone connection should be displayed there. Disable it in the same way you disable other types of network connections. This method is especially important if the MTS Connect program hangs or does not respond.
