Even in automatic mode, a DSLR will produce photographs that are better than those taken with a digital camera. And if you are happy with everything, then let it remain so.

First of all, get the instructions for its operation and read it carefully from beginning to end. Turning over the last page of the manual, you will get an idea of all the modes and functions of the camera, get acquainted with the purpose of all the levers and buttons, and understand how to use them. At the same time, try not only to read, but also to photograph as you read. Theory, backed up by practice, is always remembered and learned better. The manual for the camera will be the first book you read, but by no means the last. Buy or borrow a book that teaches the basics of photography to help you understand concepts like aperture, shutter speed, exposure, bracketing, and more. And take pictures, take pictures while reading. For example, you can read as much as you want about exposure and the possibility of adjustments to it, but until you yourself take a series of identical shots with different exposure compensation, you are unlikely to fully understand "how it works."

But training in special courses will still be more effective. You don't have to look for courses in your area. Pay attention to the Internet, in it you can find both free photo lessons and entire photo schools that conduct their courses online. Training can be either paid or free. With the paid method of training, you will get the opportunity to communicate with a teacher who will teach you, analyzing your successes and failures. And do not forget to photograph, photograph a lot. Only with practice will you learn how to focus correctly, choose the desired shooting mode, set the correct parameters, etc. After a couple of months, sorting through old and new pictures, you will be surprised at how much your photography skill has grown. But you will understand another thing - there is no limit to perfection. Even the coolest professionals learn something new every day.
