Opening the phone's file system allows you to modify the phone's system folders and replace the themes and menu icons with your own. After opening the file system, it becomes possible to install programs without certificates, and you can correct some imperfections in the operation of the device.

Instructions
Step 1
Download Phoenix Service Software to access the file system of your Nokia S40 phone. Install and run the downloaded application. Go to the File - Manage Connections menu item. Connect your mobile phone and select the File - Scan Product tab, after which the program will detect your device.
Step 2
Download the.ppu configuration file for your phone from the Internet. Click Product - Product profile - Browse. In the window that appears, specify the path to the file and click "Open".
Step 3
Press the key in the Read window. Save your settings with the Save button. In the list that appears, select Java TCK Support and change its value to Java TCK - On (JSR75 RW). Then hit Write and restart your phone. Access is open.
Step 4
For Samsung phones, you can use TK File Explorer. Download the application to your computer and install it. Connect the device to your computer in PC Studio mode and run the utility. Select the Setting tab and the port to which the phone is connected. The file system of the phone will appear at the bottom of the window, with which you can perform further operations.
Step 5
For Android devices, opening access to the file system is done through granting Root rights. To get these rights, you need to install the Universal Androot or Z4root program on your phone. Download one of the applications using Android Market and launch it, then follow the instructions on the screen. On devices based on Android 2.3, you can run a similar program called Gingerbreak.
Step 6
Access to the filesystem on iPhone phones can be carried out only after Jailbreak has been performed using various file managers for the device. You can use iPhone Explorer, iPhone Disk, or Cyberduck (iOS computers only) to work with the file system of your smartphone through your computer.
