It is not always possible to set the camera so that it displays the date of the picture, so there will be “lost in time” photos on any hard disk. But it doesn't matter, the date can be set using the almighty Adobe Photoshop.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Adobe Photoshop CS5 and open the required photo: click the "File" menu item, then the "Open" item, select the file and click "Open". Also, the window for loading a picture can be opened using the hotkeys "Ctrl" + "O".
Step 2
Select the "Type" tool (hotkey "T") and left-click at approximately the place where you would like to see the text. A blinking cursor will appear where you clicked. Enter the required date using the keyboard. Under the file menu there is a panel where you can change the font, style, size, color and other parameters of the inscription. Before changing, select the text: right-click on it and in the menu that appears, click the very first item - "Select All".
Step 3
On the left side of the options panel there is a button for switching text from horizontal to vertical position and back. Also pay attention to the "Warp Text" function (the button with the letter "T" and an arrow at the bottom), with which you can give your lettering a frivolous, comic effect.
Step 4
On the right side of the panel with the parameters of the "Type" tool there are two buttons: with the image of a crossed-out circle and a check mark. The first one removes the last changes or, if the text is completely selected, the entire text layer. The second saves the changes made.
Step 5
If you are not satisfied with the location of the label, you can move it. To do this, use the "Move" tool (hotkey "V"). Select it, right-click on the label and drag it to the location you want.
Step 6
To save the image with the caption, click the "File" menu item, then the "Save As" item (or use the "Shift" + "Ctrl" + "S" hotkeys), write a name, select the path, in the "Files of type" field put Jpeg and click the Save button.
