Many have summer cottages or garden plots. Sooner or later, you have to decide the issue of installing a fence or fence, which will mark the boundaries of your possessions. How to install the fence correctly, spending a minimum of effort and completing the work efficiently and quickly?

Step 1
First you need to decide what you want to install the fence from. You can use iron pillars, and as the material from which the fence will be made, you can use wooden planks, iron mesh, or the fence can be made entirely of brick. Also, corrugated iron is often used as a material, which is very durable and is not afraid of moisture. The most common material from which the fence is installed is planks.
Step 2
Make a preliminary marking of the area with temporary wooden posts and stretch a rope between them. Next, focusing on the rope, mark the places where the main pillars will stand. Remember that the distance between the posts should not exceed two meters. It is advisable to make the gaps between the posts smaller - this will ensure the stability of the fence.
Step 3
Take a brace or drill (a drill is suitable for winter fishing) and make holes for the posts about 1 meter deep. The depth of the pit under the post depends on the soil on which the fence is being erected. The closer the groundwater approaches the surface, the deeper the holes need to be made so that the fence does not "float" in the spring. Remember that the diameter of the drill must be larger than the diameter of the post so that it can enter the resulting hole. Place the post in the hole and fill the gap between it and the ground with brick chips and stones. This will firmly fix its position. Cover gaps with earth and tamp. Dig in the pillars around the perimeter according to the pre-marked places.
Step 4
Fasten parallel lags to the posts, previously adjusted to the distances between them. You can fix the logs with wire, but it is better if the fasteners are made with large screws.
Step 5
Next, nail the boards to the fixed joists. The size of the boards depends on your tastes and preferences. If you do not want a completely deaf fence, then you can advise you to nail the boards at a short distance from each other. They will be better blown by the wind, dry faster after rain and rot less.
