Step 1
Today there are enough resources on the network from which you can download gadgets for your desktop. All gadgets on these resources are usually divided into several categories:
- weather;
- hours and time;
- calendars;
- exchange rates, etc.

Choose any category and search for the desired gadget. For example, you can select the Calendars category. In the category that opens, select any gadget that you like. You can evaluate a gadget not only by its beauty, but also by its functionality. To do this, click the name of the gadget, a page with a description of its capabilities will load.

After selecting a specific gadget, click the Download or Download button. Gadgets are downloaded from the archive. After downloading the archive, you must unpack it to any folder on your hard drive using the WinRar program.
Step 4
Open the folder with the unpacked gadget and double-click the icon with the left mouse button. The gadget icon depends on its type (for the calendar, the icon of the calculator and clock). You will see a dialog box with a warning about the installation of this gadget, click the "Install" button. Installing gadgets is always fast, usually just a few seconds. At the end of the installation of the selected add-on, a small window will appear on the screen in which the calendar will be displayed.
Step 5
Over time, gadgets accumulate, quick editing of their parameters can be done through the "Gadgets Collection" applet. To call the collection, right-click on the desktop, select "Gadgets". In the window that opens, you will see thumbnails of all installed gadgets.
Step 6
If you want to remove a gadget, hook it with the left mouse button and drag it to the "Gadgets Collections" window. To restore the work of one of the gadgets, just drag it from the window to the desktop.
