Many Russians, especially those who happened to live in the Soviet Union, still do not perceive the former republics as separate states. This is one of the reasons why dialing a Ukrainian number is sometimes difficult. In this case, you must follow the same algorithm as when calling any foreign subscriber.
Necessary
- - mobile or landline phone;
- - tables of codes of states and cities.
Instructions
Step 1
When calling any locality in Ukraine from a landline phone located in Russia, you must first of all go to a long-distance line. Pick up the handset. You probably know if you have a digital PBX or not. In the second case, wait for a long beep. Dial "8" in the same way as you do when calling another Russian city.
Step 2
The next stage is going to the international line. For Ukraine, the exit code is the same as for any other country. Dial "10".
Step 3
Each country has its own dialing code. You can find it in the general list. For example, for Russia it is "7", which you usually dial when calling a Russian subscriber on a mobile phone. It also applies to landline phone users. Dial 38. This is the code of Ukraine.
Step 4
Dial the area code. Any telephone number of Ukraine together with the code consists of ten digits. If the subscriber lives in Kiev, then he has a seven-digit number, and the code must be three-digit. In most cities of Ukraine, both codes and numbers consist of five digits. Thus, the order can be represented as the following algorithm: "8" - "10" - "38" - "area code" - "subscriber number".
Step 5
When calling from a landline phone to a mobile phone, the dialing procedure will be slightly different. As in the previous case, get out on the long distance and international line. Dial the code of Ukraine. You do not need a city code in this situation. You just dial your ten-digit mobile phone number. If you are calling from a mobile phone to a landline phone, you will have to go through the entire procedure described in the previous steps.
Step 6
Least of all actions when calling from mobile to mobile. In this case, you will not need a long-distance, international, or area code. Dial the usual "+" for the owner of a mobile phone. Then dial the country code, that is, "38". This is followed by a ten-digit telephone number.
