Step 1
In Nokia smartphones, use special codes to format the device:
- * # 7780 # - to restore the original phone settings without losing user data;
- * # 7370 # - to restore factory settings with the deletion of all user information.
Step 2
If you cannot use special codes, select alternative methods to format your smartphone. For a push-button device - turn off the phone and simultaneously press the "Call", 3 and * keys. Wait for the screen to turn on and enter the code (12345 by default). Wait for the installation to complete.
Step 3
For touchscreen smartphones running Symbian 3, you must first turn off the device. Press the "Menu", "Power", "Camera" and "Volume Down" keys at the same time. Wait until the phone screen turns on and the device vibrates.
Step 4
For touchscreen smartphones running Symbian 9.4, also turn off the phone first. After that, simultaneously press the "Call", "End call", "Power on" and "Camera" keys. Wait for the screen to turn on and the formatting process to complete.
Step 5
For touchscreen smartphones with keyboards running Symbian 9.4, the key combination will be different. Use the Up Arrow, Spacebar, Back Arrow, and Power On keys. Then just wait for the reaction of the device.
Step 6
For smartphones manufactured by Samsung, turn off the unit first. Then press keys 8 and 0 at the same time. Keep the keys pressed until the screen turns on. Then wait for the formatting process to complete.
Step 7
For Nokia Series 80 smartphones, turn off the device and remove its battery. Remove the memory card and SIM card Replace the battery and turn on the phone. Press and hold the Ctrl, Shift and F keys when the Nokia logo appears. Confirm the formatting process in the system prompt window and wait for the process to complete.
