A telescope is an optical instrument in astronomy that is designed to study and observe the starry sky. The cost of such a device ranges from $ 250 and more. If you do not have the means, but want to have a telescope at home, then you can easily make it yourself.
Necessary
- - glass for glasses in one diopter, which can be purchased at any optical store. The lens should be biconvex and designed to correct hyperopia, not myopia;
- - magnifying glass, which will serve as an eyepiece of the telescope;
- - sheets of whatman paper;
- -PVA glue;
- - thin and thick cardboard;
- - plywood about 5mm thick;
- -the cloth;
- - smooth paper.
Instructions
Step 1
First, make the telescope objective the same diameter as the lens you purchased. Glue the tube using Whatman sheets. It should have multiple layers for strength. The length of the tube should be about 75 mm, as a telescope that is too long or too short will be inconvenient to use.
Step 2
Make a ring-shaped frame of cardboard, the diameter of which should be equal to the diameter of the lens. Insert it into the finished frame and clamp it tightly on both sides.
Step 3
Then glue the main telescope tube from whatman paper, screwing it onto the existing lens, carefully coat each layer with glue. The length of this tube should be slightly less than the distance from the rear lens of the objective to the point where a sharp image of a distant object is formed. …
Step 4
Now start making a movable tube, which serves to align the planes of the eyepiece and objective. It should move easily. Make it out of Whatman paper as the main tube of the telescope.
Step 5
Insert the eyepiece barrel into this movable tube. First you need to make a focusing node. To do this, cut a ring out of plywood using a jigsaw. The surface of the main tube can be covered with a cloth such as velvet. This is done in order to reduce friction. Glue the movable tube from smooth paper so that it moves well. Glue all the details together. After the glue is dry, you can use our telescope.
