Surely many have come across this situation: there is more than one computer at home, Internet is required on each of them, and there is no desire to connect each of them separately and pay several times more. In order to implement your ideas, you need to set up a local network. In this case, our internet provider is Beeline.

Necessary

  • 2 computers
  • 3 network cards
  • 1 patch cord or RJ 45 (network cable)
  • Availability of free PCI slots in the "host" computer

Instructions

Step 1

You must make sure that one of the computers (the main one) contains two network cards (most often one of them is built-in, and the second must be purchased additionally). You must have a Beeline cable inserted into one network card, i.e. you already have Internet access on this computer.

Insert a free patch cord into the second slot, and plug the other end into the network card of another computer (note: both machines must be turned on).

Go to Start - Control Panel - View Network Status and Tasks - Change Adapter Settings (Windows 7). You will see image 1.

Step 2

Of the two network connections, choose something that does not apply to Beeline. Go to Properties - Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4) - Properties. Select "Use the following IP address" and write 192.168.0.1 there. Click OK. Example for image 2.

Go to the properties of your VPN connection. Go to the "Access" tab. Put a check mark in front of the item "Allow other network users ….", and in the line select the local network with the second machine.

Step 4

You need to find out the addresses of the DNS servers. To do this, press win + R, type cmd, in the console that opens, write ipconfig / all. Find your primary network card and write down the two DNS server addresses. We no longer need the first computer.

Step 5

Go to "change adapter settings" on the second computer. Find the only local network there and open the TCP / IPv4 properties, just like on the first computer. Check the box "Use the following IP address", Write the IP 192.168.0.2, and the default gateway is 192.168.0.1. Note: Leave the subnet masks as standard, the default gateway is equal to the IP address of the "main" computer.

Now list the DNS servers that you saved on the first computer (see step 4). Save your changes. Use it.
