Some users choose to replace their mobile phone software. This usually allows you to make it work faster and fix some bugs.
Necessary
- - USB cable;
- - firmware files;
- - SGH Flasher
Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare everything you need to flash your mobile phone. Make sure to charge it 80-100%. A complete discharge of the battery during the firmware can lead to irreparable consequences. Find a special cable that connects your mobile phone to the USB port of your computer or laptop.
Step 2
Download the program with which you will flash your phone. Find the firmware file itself. Better to use verified files that can be found on the official forums of your phone manufacturer. Use SGH Flasher / Dumper utility to replace Samsung phone software. Check the compatibility of your phone model with this program.
Step 3
First, dump your phone. This is a kind of archive of all its parameters and settings. It will allow you to restore the working condition of the mobile phone in the event that the firmware process is unsuccessful. Connect your phone to the USB port of your computer and run the program. After determining the phone model by the program, press the Dump full flash (16mb) button and specify the folder where the resulting file will be saved and enter its name. This process will take 20-30 minutes.
Step 4
Now disconnect your phone from your computer and restart the program. Reconnect the mobile phone to the USB port. Be sure to turn off your phone before connecting it to your PC. Click the Flash BIN file button. And select the firmware file you recently downloaded. Wait for the software update process for your phone to complete. Press the Disconnect button and disconnect the USB cable.
Step 5
Turn on your phone and check if it works. If the firmware kit contains additional files with the.tfs extension, then download them in the same way. After starting the program, click the Flash full TFS button and select the desired file.
