Most modern Android devices have GPS navigation support. This means users can install GPS applications as well as maps to navigate, locate and get directions.

Step 1
To install maps, you need to download them using the Play Store or a computer. Go to the programs through the menu of your device or by using the corresponding shortcut on the home screen. After downloading the application, search for "maps" and select from the results the most suitable utility for you, guided by screenshots, descriptions and user reviews. Among the most popular map applications are Google Maps, Yandex. Maps and 2GIS.

After choosing the program you like, click on the "Free" button and wait for the installation procedure to finish. You can see the download status in the notification area of the top Android bar.

After the installation is complete, you must enable the built-in navigator before launching the application. To do this, go to the menu "Settings" - "Location" of the device, where activate all the items responsible for navigation.

Open the downloaded application and wait for your current location to be determined. Maps are installed on your device and now you can use all the functions of the navigator.

To install navigation from a computer, find and download the desired application using an Internet search. Installation files for Android programs have the.apk extension.

Connect your device to your computer in removable disk mode using a USB cable. Move the downloaded application to a separate folder on your device's file system.
