You can transform your computer from an ordinary one into an original one by simply purchasing some funny fancy gadgets for it - equipping it with a USB-powered fan, ordering an unusual design of the system unit. But if you decide to improve your car with your own hands, then you can try to equip your computer with light and music. When playing audio tracks in WinAMP, special LEDs will suit you unearthly beauty.
Necessary
- - blowtorch
- - printed circuit board for one-sided mounting
- - four pairs of LEDs of different colors (or another combination - choose according to your taste)
- - one 25-pin connector for connecting to the LTP port
- - resistors to LED
Instructions
Step 1
First, solder the minus of the LED (its short leg) to the bus, and the long leg to a separate leg that conducts the current. If you do not know where the LED has a plus and where is a minus, then use a battery to check.
Step 2
Solder the LEDs to the corresponding resistor tracks. Each LED must be connected to its own resistor.
Step 3
Now you need to connect the light elements to the computer. To do this, take the parallel port connector. We need port pins 2 through 9 and 25. Solder the individual strands of the stranded wire to them.
Step 4
Connect the other end of the wire to the board: connect the twenty-fifth pin to the bus, the rest of the wires to LEDs. Remember that the lower the LED is in the strip, the lower the pin number it should be soldered to.
Step 5
Isolate the back of the board - Failure to do this while attaching the board to the computer may result in a short circuit or damage to the LTP port.
Step 6
Download the additional library, put it in the plugin directory in the WinAMP program, or download the special LED's flashing machine installer. Select it as a renderer. If you have NT-based Windows, install a program called Userport on your computer. Install this program, run it, enter the text "0x378-0x378" in the left line, click "add", "start" and "update".
So your light music is ready. Enjoy!
