DVD players are slowly becoming a thing of the past, giving way to USB media players and TVs. Indeed, why bother hoarding piles of discs at a time when you can keep all films on a hard drive connected to a TV.
Instructions
Step 1
A hard drive can be either a stand-alone device with a USB cable, or a component part of a computer or laptop. And if in the first case you do not need any additional devices to connect to the TV, then in the second you will have to purchase an external case for the hard drive. These cases are sold in computer stores and help you connect any hard drive to a computer, TV, music center and other equipment.
Step 2
If your TV is not equipped with a USB interface, this does not mean that you will not be able to connect a hard drive to it. It is enough to purchase a media player to play multimedia files from any USB devices and use it as an adapter between the hard drive and the TV. Some media players have built-in hard drives or connectors for connecting such drives.
Step 3
So, to connect the hard drive to the TV, connect the devices with a USB cable, and if the TV does not have a USB connector, then use a media player as an adapter that connects to the TV via HDMI or using a composite audio / video cable.
