The first 5-10 battery charges affect their energy consumption and service life. It is important that the battery is completely discharged before charging and that the charging process is in accordance with the time indicated on the package.

Step 1
Discharge the batteries completely. The amount of energy remaining before the first charge will henceforth be considered zero. In other words, if the battery is only half discharged, the energy capacity will be halved.
Step 2
The charging time is determined by the initial energy capacity and the charging current. This number in hours can be found on the packaging of the charger. For example, for a pair of 2700 batteries, the charging time is usually 5 hours.
If the instruction is lost, you can find out the charging time using the formula: the battery capacity is divided by the charge current (indicated on the batteries). The result is the number of hours required to fully charge.
Step 3
Similarly (discharge - charge) charge a new battery several times after purchase. During the first time of use, incomplete charging or incomplete discharge may result in reduced power consumption and reduced battery life.
