Step 1
Call the technical support service of the operator whose SIM card you want to use in the future to access the Internet. Find out from him the necessary settings and at the same time check if you have this function connected.
Step 2
Insert the modem from Megafon into the USB port of your computer. After it is detected by the system, close the applications using it. Launch Device Manager located in the Properties of the My Computer menu on the Hardware tab.
Step 3
Select the modem configuration menu in the window that opens, find the desired device and in its properties on the "Advanced" tab. To use an MTS SIM card, use + CGDCONT = 1, IP, internet.mts.ru; for Beeline - + CGDCONT = 1, IP, internet.beeline.ru. Check the settings of the access points with the data provided to you by the operator.
Step 4
In the connection settings, create a new Internet connection with the number * 99 # (less often * 99 *** 1 # is used). In the login and password entry field for MTS, write mts, and for Beeline, respectively, beeline. In the parameters, display the value of the disconnect time at your discretion; so that the Internet does not turn off completely, write down zero.
Step 5
Disable the PIN code check in your SIM card if the connection is not established. This is best done using a mobile phone.
Step 6
If the above steps do not help you, contact a dedicated service center. Its specialists will make the necessary changes in a short period of time, after which your Megaphone modem will be available for use by other operators. It is best to use ordinary modems in the future, which provide for work with SIM cards of all operators and automatically configure the connection for each one.
