Be very careful when disassembling cell phones and communicators. Disconnecting certain devices incorrectly can damage your phone. Please be aware that disassembling the unit yourself will usually void your warranty.
Necessary
- - metal spatula;
- - tweezers;
- - crosshead screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your HTC P3300 communicator for disassembly. Do not disassemble this unit by yourself unless you are sure you can carry out the procedure properly. Make sure you have the right tools. Turn off this machine and disconnect all possible cables. Remove the stylus from the designated slot. Carefully remove the back cover of the phone, which is blocking access to the battery. Remove the battery from the device.
Step 2
Take a special spatula. If you do not have this device, then use a dull knife or scalpel. Release the back cover latches located near the communicator camera lens. Be careful not to scratch the body of the device.
Step 3
Using tweezers or the same spatula, remove the rubber gasket located at the top of the phone from the slot. Do not remove it completely. Remove the plugs located at both ends of the gasket.
Step 4
Remove the back cover of the communicator. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws located in the corners of the machine. Gently press out the latches located on the sides of the communicator body and at the top of it. Remove the back cover.
Step 5
Fold out the front panel latches on the inside. They are located on the sides of the communicator. Remove the bezel. Carefully open the display latch and disconnect the cable coming from the board to it. Use tweezers to do this to avoid damaging the wires.
Step 6
Use a spudger to remove the display from the slot. Disassembly of the HTC P3300 communicator is now complete. Perform the required operations with the communicator board and assemble the device. If the purpose of disassembling the device was to replace the display, then make sure to identify this part before assembling the communicator. Install the battery and turn on the device. Make sure the device is fully functional.
