Over time, any remote controls become clogged, and in order, for example, to change the channel or turn off the TV, you have to press the corresponding buttons for a long time and forcefully. Such a blockage of the console is a completely natural phenomenon. Dirt gradually accumulating on the main chip blocks the action of the pressed buttons. In such a situation, you can either buy a new remote control, or, having disassembled a device that has been tested over the years, return it to working capacity.

Instructions

Step 1

To disassemble the TV remote control, remove the batteries from it. Sometimes the battery compartment contains retention screws that hold the top and bottom of the remote control together. If there are such screws in your model of the remote control, using a suitable screwdriver, unscrew them. If there are no screws, then the body of the remote control is held by latches located on the top or bottom of it.

Step 2

Insert a screwdriver into the junction of the body parts. Pry off the top or bottom of it and, using force, disassemble the remote control. You will see that it consists of three main parts: • Housing;

• Remote control microcircuit;

• Rubberized gasket with control buttons

Step 3

Look at the microcircuit. One of the main reasons for malfunctioning TV remotes is that frequent use erases conductive dusting on buttons or a microcircuit. If the dust remains under the layer of dirt, the remote control can be restored to its working capacity.

Step 4

Wipe the microcircuit with a cleaning solution. Remove dirt on the TV remote control and on the button strip. If the contamination is too strong, which happens from the long-term use of the remote control in a plastic bag, thoroughly rinse all its parts with water, except, of course, the microcircuit. The main thing is that before assembling the remote control, let them dry well so that accelerated oxidation processes are not triggered in the assembled device.
