Some types of files, such as mp3, are quite easy to recover. The recovery of deleted files is carried out using specialized software. These can be both expensive utilities (Easy Recovery and Magic UnEraser) and their free counterparts: Handy Recovery, R-Studio, Undelete Plus and many others.

Instructions
Step 1
To perform high-quality recovery of music files, use the R-Studio utility. Install the program components to a local disk from which the necessary tracks have not been deleted. Restart your computer and start R-Studio.
Step 2
Open the Device / Disk column and select the hard disk partition on which the data will be searched. Click on its icon with the right mouse button. Go to Scan. Enter the number 0 in the Start column, and fill in the next field with the size of this local volume. Specify in advance its value in the Disk Size line.
Step 3
Select the file system format of the scanned partition. If files were lost as a result of formatting, select the disk layout that was previously used. Activate the Detailed function in the Scan View column. Install the search filter by the *.mp3 key.
Step 4
Check the disk analysis parameters and click the Scan button. The launched procedure can last several hours. Click the Ok button after completing the analysis of the hard drive partition.
Step 5
Click on the icon of the scanned disk with the left mouse button and press F5. Wait while the list of found tracks is generated. Highlight the songs you want by checking the boxes next to files or directories. Press the Recover Marked button located on the program control panel.
Step 6
Specify the folder where the program will save the recovered mp3 files. Disable the Skip files with bad sectors function by unchecking the box of the same name. Start the recovery process by clicking the Ok button.
Step 7
Check the integrity of the recovered information. If some files are damaged, install the Easy Recovery utility. With its help, try to recreate the structure of damaged music tracks. To do this, run the File Restore function.
