A computer monitor screen usually gets dirty very quickly. Thanks to the plastic coating, the static charge on it and the constant slight heat, dust sticks to your screen. How to remove it and how to prevent it from accumulating so quickly? There are several excellent and effective ways to do this.
The best solution would be to use a screensaver - a device equipped on one side with a soft foam sponge covered with microfiber, and on the other with a soft long bristled brush. The screensaver comes with a spray specially formulated for cleaning screens. Lightly brush away most of the dust from the screen, then spray and wipe gently with a soft sponge. The screensaver is suitable for both computer monitors and TVs.
If you do not have such a device, you can use wet wipes. There are both special wipes for monitors and many other types of them. You can even use regular wet hand wipes or baby wipes. After wiping the screen with damp wipes, it's a good idea to wipe it down with a microfiber cloth as well.
If no wet wipes are available, you can use a glass cleaner spray. Just go for the least aggressive one. After sprinkling on the screen once or twice, wipe it dry with light circular motions.
If the screen is very dirty, you can unplug the monitor and wipe it with a soft cloth dampened with dishwashing liquid. Then wipe off the detergent with a regular damp cloth and wipe dry with a microfiber cloth.
Do not use any abrasive or aggressive (acidic or alkaline) detergents to clean the monitor screen. Also, do not use organic solvents, oils or try to mechanically remove contamination. If the dirt cannot be removed by yourself, contact a service workshop to avoid damage to the device.
