Modern Internet users have practically abandoned the usual television. They use IP-TV as a worthy alternative, setting up the connection between the computer and the TV.
It is necessary
video transmission cable
Instructions
Step 1
To use a plasma or LCD TV instead of or in conjunction with a conventional monitor, select the appropriate video cable. To do this, find an identical or interchangeable pair of connectors on your TV and computer video card.
Step 2
These can be the following pairs of ports: VGA-VGA, VGA-DVI, DVI-DVI, DVI-HDMI, and HDMI-HDMI. Naturally, it is better not to use VGA channels, because this port only transmits an analog signal, not a digital one. Purchase a suitable cable and adapter if required.
Step 3
Make the connection between the computer's video card and the TV. First, adjust the picture settings of the last device. Open its settings. Go to the Signal Source menu. Select the port to which you recently connected the cable.
Step 4
Now turn on your computer and wait for the operating system to load. Open the display options settings. If the TV is not detected automatically, click the "Find" button and wait for the second screen to be detected.
Step 5
Now select the graphic image of the TV and activate the item "Make this display the main". You can safely turn off the standard monitor.
Step 6
If you decide to configure the synchronous use of both displays, then activate the "Extend this display" function. It is recommended to first make the computer monitor the main screen. This will help avoid further problems when turning off the TV.
Step 7
For the best picture quality, open your TV settings and set the refresh rate. It should match the frequency of the monitor. This will reduce the load on the video card and avoid severe image distortion. If you decide to turn on the screen mirroring function, be sure to set the same resolution on your TV and monitor.
