To watch high quality movies using the TV screen, you need to connect this unit to a special player or computer. The second method is the most effective because allows you to play all available formats.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the connectors through which you will connect the computer's video card to the TV. Naturally, it is better to use HDMI and DVI channels, because they provide the ability to transmit a digital signal, not analog. This will greatly improve the image quality.
Step 2
Find a pair of suitable ports and purchase a dedicated cable. You can use a DVI-HDMI adapter if your video card only has D-Sub and DVI outputs. Connect the video adapter of your computer to the selected TV channel. This procedure can be performed with the devices turned on.
Step 3
If your TV is connected to a speaker system, connect your computer's sound card to the TV's Audio In port. This will allow you to reproduce sound on external speakers. To make this connection, you need a cable with mini jacks on both ends.
Step 4
Turn on your computer and TV. In the settings of the second device, specify the signal source. Select the port that you connected to the computer's video card. Now adjust the settings for the synchronous operation of the TV and the monitor.
Step 5
Go to the Appearance and Personalization menu in your computer's control panel. Open the "Display" menu and select "Connect to external display". Highlight the monitor graphic and activate the Make this screen primary function.
Step 6
Now click on the TV icon and enable the "Extend the display to this device" option. This option for sharing two screens will allow you to launch and use different applications independently of each other. Turn on your video player and move it outside the monitor. Expand the program window on the TV screen. Select the movie you want and enable it. Adjust picture settings and sound effects.
