Thanks to the built-in microphones, you can participate in conferences and video chats using MSN Messenger and other similar instant messaging applications. After installing the microon, you need to specify the correct audio settings. The latter are especially difficult. Fortunately, MSN Messenger has an easy-to-use "Tuning Wizard" to help you improve the quality of your microphone.
Necessary
- - Microphone;
- - computer;
- - MSN Messenger.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch MSN Messenger by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop, or select it from the Start menu from the list of programs on your system. Enter your username and password to login. Wait while the program downloads your profile.
Step 2
Select "Tools" from the menu, then go to "Audio / Video Tuning Wizard". Run it by clicking the "Next" button in the dialog box that appears. Select your microphone model from the drop-down list and click "Next".
Step 3
Adjust the sound quality of the microphone. To do this, move the microphone 3-5 cm away from you and change the displayed settings until the sensitivity level of the microphone reaches the middle mark. When prompted, speak into the microphone, continuing to move it until you are satisfied with the results. When finished, click Next and then Finish. If the microphone is located too close to your face, your voice will sound too harsh for the interlocutor, and if it is far away, then it will be likely that he simply will not hear you. After completing the calibration, click Next.
Step 4
Select your sound system from the list that opens and go to the "Speaker Testing" section. Here, start moving the audio slider up or down to adjust the sound quality of your speakers. Press the "Stop" key to end testing. The microphone is now fully configured and ready to use.
Step 5
Test the quality of the microphone in communication. To do this, call a friend and ask him how well he hears you. At the slightest interference, you need to return to the settings menu and change the sound settings until the other person hears you clearly and loudly.
