Every computer user at least once had the idea of recording his own voice. Someone makes a decision about singing and the development of their vocals, someone wants to hear their voice from the side, how it sounds. In any case, this problem can be solved in different ways.
It is necessary
Microphone, computer (laptop) and software
Instructions
Step 1
Let's consider several methods of audio recording. If you have a laptop, use the built-in microphone. If not, then use a microphone that is now commercially available. The choice of microphone depends on the need for it, i.e. on what you want to hear on the audio recording. To compare your voice in "reality", an inexpensive microphone is quite suitable. If we want to learn how to train our vocals, then we need a microphone of a higher price (microphones of well-known brands).
If you don’t have the necessary microphone recording software at hand, Windows' built-in Sound Recorder is fine. She has limitations in "functionality" - no more than 60 seconds of recording, which will not be suitable for a beginner vocalist.
The launch of this program is carried out through the menu "Start" - "Accessories" - "Sound Recorder". Connect the microphone and press the "Rec" button. At the end of the voice recording, press the "Stop" button and listen to what we got.
Step 2
For a novice vocalist and not only, the Sound Forge program is perfect. Starting with version 6.0, its capabilities include not only recording a large number of minutes of voice on the microphone, but also deep processing, including popular audio processing effects, for example, "do", "chorus", split into channels, etc.
To run the program, you need to go to the "Start" - "Programs" - "Sonic Fondry" - "Sound Forge". In the window that opens, on the work panel, find the button with a red circle. Click it and the microphone recording window opens in front of you. Here you can set some parameters, as well as check the performance of the microphone in reality. On the right you will see 2 vertical scales (stereo).
Click on the record button, say something and click stop. The recording window will close, and a new window will open to replace the closed window. In this window, you will see the audio track you recorded. Here you can edit it, level it up if desired, and save it.
Step 3
Use the most affordable way. Most of the audio players through which you listen to music support, albeit in the slightest degree, microphone recording.
Another option is to record on a household dictaphone or audio player with the ability to record. This recording can be transferred to a computer using the Sound Forge program in voice recording mode.
