Replacing the monitor backlight is a rather laborious process that requires your attention and utmost care. Remember that if you do not follow the basic rules, you can completely ruin the matrix.
Necessary
- - screwdriver;
- - replaceable backlight lamps.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that the breakdown lies precisely in the malfunction of the backlight lamps. If you have such an opportunity, connect the laptop screen matrix to a working inverter or use a backlight working lamp instead of the matrix. If the problem is confirmed, proceed to lamp replacement.
Step 2
To do this, remove the tape from the back of the die and set it aside, you will need it for assembly. Remove the tape from the cable that comes from the backlight.
Step 3
Peel the board with the screen control panel from the base of the screen, gently holding it so as not to bend it. Be extremely careful, because if you damage it or the cable, the device will be impossible to restore in the future.
Step 4
Remove the frame from the die. Use a thin screwdriver to remove the fasteners. Be careful not to touch the surface of the filters when performing this step.
Step 5
Separate the decoder panel from the monitor matrix, while trying to reduce the area of contact with the surface of the parts. Take the screen case and remove the filters without separating them into layers, then set them aside.
Step 6
Proceed to remove the backlight cover, which is a metal structure. The backlight cable may be glued to the inside of it, so be careful not to damage it. Remove the cables from the brackets.
Step 7
Remove the backlight and reflector from your monitor's screen frame. Then remove the reflector, which is secured with double-sided tape. Remove the backlight from it by removing the rubber insulators on which it is attached to the reflector.
Step 8
Replace it with a work light and reassemble the monitor in the reverse order, but not completely. Before closing the monitor case, connect the lamp to the inverter and turn on your laptop. In some models, verification occurs after assembly, if a video cable is required.
