Step 4
You can rename iPod Shuffle only if you have access to a computer with Mac OSX 10.3.4 or later. When renaming, use only Latin characters, otherwise you will see a corresponding error message in the Finder application.
Step 5
If you want to change the name of a specific application in iTunes, you will need to edit the iTunesMetadata.plist file, which is located in the program folder. Unzip it using the WinRar archiver. Find the “Name” line in the file for the required program and change the line after it to “Name”. If you want to change the name of the program on the phone on the desktop, then edit the info.plist file. After the "CFBundleDisplayName" line, change the value in the "Name" line.
Step 6
To open a file with a.plist extension, use the plist Editor program, which is also available for Windows.
Step 7
On unlocked smartphones using Cydia, you can download the Rename 2.0 utility, which will help you rename all applications installed on your smartphone in just a couple of taps.
