Internet company Amazon plans to expand its presence in the mobile market. The new smartphone will go on sale earlier than analysts predicted and will continue the product line, which includes tablets and e-book readers.
Amazon Corporation is one of the largest Internet companies. The release of new items under the brand of the same name will take place before the end of 2012. At the same time, the company promises to present a full-fledged communicator instead of a budget model, capable of competing with the current flagships from HTC, Samsung and other well-known manufacturers.
For the basis of the future device, Amazon will take a quad-core mobile processor with a third-generation NVIDIA Tegra graphics accelerator. However, this is not the final choice. It is possible that Amazon will give preference to the new quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4. According to the results of various tests, this processor turned out to be quite productive.
As a platform for the communicator, as well as for a tablet from Amazon, the Android OS will be used. However, on the part of the Internet giant Google, which owns the rights to this operating system, confirmation of this information has not yet been received.
Amazon has every chance of securing some share of the smartphone market, just as it did with tablet computers. The Kindle Fire tablet she created, showing the perfect combination of quality and price, made a splash. In a short time, this product has brought the company millions of dollars.
