When traveling abroad for business or pleasure, people are faced with the need to keep in touch with loved ones, share impressions with them and send photographs. Almost everyone has mobile phones, and you can connect the MMS message sending service to send photos.
Instructions
Step 1
The first thing to remember is that sending an MMS is very similar to sending an SMS. It doesn't matter if you use your SIM card or bought a new one on the spot. If you bought a phone abroad, you may be faced with the fact that you will have to send the text component not in Russian, but in Latin letters. This is inconvenient, but your loved ones will be able to understand the caption to the photo. Read the instructions for your phone to make sure it supports MMS. Most modern models have this feature.
Step 2
If you use a Russian telecom operator, make sure that the MMS sending service is activated before you leave the country, and that your operator company has GPRS roaming enabled.
Step 3
Dial the number in the international format, which means that it will start with a plus and a seven if you are abroad. If you are on the way already in Russia, then the usual eight will be enough. Then a three-digit operator code is dialed, and then seven digits of the subscriber himself.
Step 4
It should be noted that the MMS service in Russia does not always work as well as we would like, so do not send messages exceeding 300kb. However, in practice, even 100kb pictures do not always reach. Therefore, process the pictures that you would like to send in a graphics editor, where you will have to reduce its size or resolution. Or, if you are uploading a photo taken with a phone camera, set the feature settings to the lowest quality. This will greatly increase the likelihood that the MMS will reach your subscriber.
Most operators will try to deliver an MMS message within the next 72 hours, but if you need to urgently transfer information, it is better to use SMS or e-mail.
