The method for exiting DFU mode on i-devices is determined by how the device was inserted into it and the presence of a jailbreak. Usually the standard method is sufficient, but in some cases additional software may be required.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install on your computer a specialized application iREB designed to perform the operation of flashing jailbroken devices. Launch the application and specify your i-device in the main program window. Go to the Recovery Mode Loop Fixer / SHSH Blobs Grabber tab and click the Set Auto-Boot True button. This action will take the device out of DFU mode.
Step 2
Please note that the use of the iREB application is implied only in devices with a jailbreak and cannot be used if there is an official firmware!
Step 3
To exit the DFU mode using the standard method, press the Power button located on the front of the device, simultaneously with the Home button, which is located on the front of the screen. Keep both buttons pressed for 10 seconds.
Step 4
Release both buttons and turn on the device as usual. To do this, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears on the device screen.
Step 5
Exiting the DFU mode implies the need to change the firmware of the mobile device. This operation can be performed in one of two recovery modes - Recovery and DFU. In order to enter DFU mode, connect the i-device to the computer using the special USB connection cable included in the package, but do not open iTunes. Turn off the device in the usual way and press the Power and Home buttons at the same time.
Step 6
Hold both buttons down for ten seconds, then release the Power button while continuing to hold the Home button. Wait for the computer to detect the mobile device and launch the iTunes application. Follow the necessary steps and exit DFU mode using the above method.
