Not a single detail in any vehicle mechanism can be superfluous or useless, and even such a seemingly insignificant cable can be the reason for the failure of the entire car or motorcycle. Replacing such a part with a car is usually trusted by specialists, but amateurs repair motorcycles on their own. Replacing the cable often causes a number of problems, especially for beginners, so it is advisable to first study the features of such a technique, and only then proceed to any repair work.
Necessary
Motorcycle, screwdriver, wet wipe, new cable
Instructions
Step 1
Locate the engine on your motorcycle and bend down to find a cable entry next to it. You will, of course, recognize it immediately, since the construction is quite simple.
Step 2
Pay attention to the moment that there is a screw near the entrance to the crankcase, which you have to unscrew in order to change the cable.
Step 3
Unscrew the screw.
Step 4
Pull out the cable and replace it with a new one. Please note that the cables must be the same, otherwise new problems may arise. The old part should only be replaced with an identical, but new one.
