In rural areas, most of the roads in our country do not have adequate coverage and relatively normal traffic on them is difficult, with the exception of the summer period. Therefore, those who are faced with a similar problem are interested in all-terrain vehicles. The easiest way is to independently make a pneumatic wheeled all-terrain vehicle, which has a high cross-country ability, both on snow and on water obstacles. The disadvantages of such machines are their low tractive effort when towing and low carrying capacity.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a decommissioned or working Ural motorcycle as the basis for the design. Go through all its units and assemblies, restore the engine. Weld an additional frame to the main frame of the motorcycle, one joint of which should be located on the horizontal upper section of the motorcycle frame at the location of the shock absorber brackets, in the area of the bend of the motorcycle frame tubes.

Step 2

The additional frame is made in the form of an arc and pipes forming a strong triangle, a tube spacer and four struts of the upper part of the frame.

Step 3

Seats on an ATV do not require alterations and are attached in the same way as on a motorcycle. The seat handles have been replaced by uprights with crossbars for convenience. An engine oil canister is mounted on a bracket behind the front seat. The reserve fuel tank is installed under the rear of the upper belt frame.

Step 4

The main requirement when assembling the rear axle is the accuracy and alignment of the axle shafts. Consequently, the yoke is welded to them after assembly. Use long half-shafts - from the car. They are put in closed bearings and collected in a cardan pipe from a car. This will ensure that each axle shaft runs securely in four bearings.

Step 5

Join the right and left axle halves in the spline bushings that are installed inside the driven sprocket. The splines must be cut and the spline bushings for the sprocket must be machined along them.

Step 6

Secure the rear axle to the frame with bolts with clamps. Align the longitudinal axes of the driven and driving sprockets on the rear axle and weld the limiting elements that prevent the axle from moving under heavy loads.

Step 7

Use pneumatic chambers from a tractor trailer. Wheel disks from the car are attached to the hub by welding. When installing a wheel over the chamber, a tire made from the same chamber is put on the disc to the flange and brake drum. As a result, during braking, the mechanism is held by a stopper put on the axle and fixed with screws.

Step 8

The final drive reducer remains unchanged. Install a wind shield. Extend the steering wheel for convenience, install headlights, brake lights, turn signals, parking lights.
