Often, the very limited power of standard antennas of wi-fi routers is not enough for a stable signal even within city apartments. Buying an antenna that amplifies the wi-fi signal, of course, will solve the problem, but it will be more interesting (and much cheaper) to do it yourself.
Necessary
- - cd / dvd storage box with spindle
- - a piece of copper wire 244 mm long with a section of 2-2.5 mm
- - extra cd disk
Instructions
Step 1
Take the box for discs and saw off with a hacksaw its central spindle at a distance of 18 mm from the base.
Step 2
On the cut with a file or file, make cross-shaped cuts with a depth of 2 mm.
Step 3
Glue the cd to the bottom of the box.
Step 4
On a wire with a length of 244 mm, make notches every 30.5 mm and bend it in accordance with the shown picture.
Step 5
Solder the shielded cable to the central part of the biquadrated wire.
Step 6
Passing the cable through the spindle from top to bottom, fix the wire biquadrat with glue in the cross grooves. Check that the distance from the disc to the biquad is 15 mm.
Step 7
Connect your antenna cable to the router and use it.
