HTC Sensation can automatically check and notify you when there are new updates to the Android operating system. You can download updates via Wi-Fi or your carrier's packet data service.
Instructions
Step 1
Establish an internet connection on your device. To do this, use a Wi-Fi hotspot or 3G connection. You will have to download a large amount of data, i.e. it is desirable that the traffic you receive is not charged.
Step 2
When the Internet connection is on, if there are updates for your phone, you will see a corresponding notification on the screen. Confirm the installation of the software and wait for the updates to be installed.
Step 3
If the message does not appear, pay attention to the top line of screen notifications. Click on the icon that appears in the line and select the update to download. Follow the instructions on the screen to start downloading the software. After completing the operation, click on the "Install now" button, and then "OK".
Step 4
Wait for the update installation to complete, after which the phone will automatically reboot. If the update was completed successfully, you will see a corresponding notification.
Step 5
To check for updates manually, use the corresponding item in the device menu. To do this, press the central menu button and select the "Settings" item. In the list of suggested options, select "About phone" - "Software updates" - "Check now".
Step 6
If there are updates for your device, you will see a corresponding notification on the screen prompting you to install a new version of the software. Confirm the operation and click Install Now. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the procedure.
