Cellular operators often use a phone lock in order to tie it to their network. These phones cannot be used on another operator's network. This scheme is designed to develop customer loyalty due to the low cost of the phone, which is sold already blocked for only one network. If you want to unlock your phone, you can use one of the options below.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to unlock your phone, use special software. Pre-sync your phone with your computer and run the program. Depending on the popularity of your phone, it can take you from one to three hours to find the programs you need, and up to half an hour to unlock.
Step 2
Reflash your phone. In some cases, flashing is enough for the phone to work on another network. Use a "clean" version of the firmware and be sure to keep the original firmware in case the new one does not work correctly. You can download both firmware and special programs on the Internet - due to the fact that the actions on the firmware are the personal initiative of the owners of the phones, these files are freely available.
Step 3
Contact the network operator that your cell phone is locked to. Explain the situation to him in such a way that you will need to use another SIM card for some time. Request an unlock code. After you receive the unlock code, insert another SIM card into your phone, and then enter the received code in the appropriate field when prompted for an unlock code.
