Chinese phones have two undoubted and significant advantages: low price and good functionality. Of course, they are often let down by quality, but there is a reasonable answer to this argument. Is the quality of the device really so important if it is changed every six months? However, for those who like to read books on Chinese phones, there is another drawback. Phones seem to be absolutely inadequate for this. Having uploaded any text file to a mobile phone, instead of the usual Russian alphabet, we see incomprehensible squiggles. In fact, the problem of reading e-books on Chinese phones is very simple to solve.
Instructions
Step 1
We save the book to the hard drive of the computer in any format in which it was posted on the network. Rtf, txt, fb2, doc - any option will suit us.
Step 2
Open the file, select "Save as …" and resave it in *.txt format. The most important thing is to select the correct encoding when saving, which the Chinese phone can recognize. One of these encodings is UTF-8. When saving in a different encoding, the phone will show us the usual "krakozyabry".
Step 3
If the downloaded book is in the FB2 format, then you can resave it to a regular text file using e-book readers for Windows. In addition, you can use a small free program FB2Any, which allows you to convert an FB2 book using a command from the explorer context menu. Don't forget about UTF-8 encoding.
Step 4
We connect a Chinese phone to a computer via a cord like a removable disk. The computer recognizes it as a USB stick.
Step 5
Copy the book in.txt format from your computer hard drive to the “Ebook” folder of your phone. This folder is located in the root directory of the phone memory.
Step 6
We disconnect the phone from the computer.
Step 7
With the help of my device, we open the book through the standard phone interface. To do this, select the "File" menu command, go to the "Ebook" folder and specify the text file that we will read.
