It's no secret that solar panels can convert solar energy into direct current. Solar panels are highly reliable and stable, and their service life fluctuates around 30 years. How to install such batteries on your site?

Instructions

Step 1

Remember that solar cell efficiency peaks during the spring and summer seasons. For the latitude of Moscow, the effective period is from March to September inclusive. Solar activity is at its highest during these months.

Step 2

Before installing a solar panel, determine the goals that you pursue by mounting the modules. Depending on whether you will use them for industrial or domestic needs, the number and power of the modules themselves depends. For example, for autonomous maintenance of a garden house (refrigerator, TV, several LED lamps), a battery with a total capacity of 500-700 watts is enough. Then draw your own conclusions. When choosing solar panels, give preference to monocrystalline silicon modules. Unlike the multicrystalline one that is widespread now, it has the highest rates of efficiency (efficiency) and durability (service life is 50 years, efficiency is up to 18%).

Step 3

Install solar modules on the roof of a house or structure in such a way that they are directed to the south side. It is necessary to select the correct angle of inclination, i.e. the angle between the horizontal and the battery. If you are installing the module on a pitched roof, then the angle is set by default by the roof itself. When installing solar panels, use special supporting structures. They provide the correct angle of inclination of the panels, as well as the necessary rigidity of the entire structure. The combination of the supporting structure with solar panels must withstand gusts of wind and adverse environmental influences.

Step 4

Remember that the greatest amount of energy the battery can store is achieved when the battery panel is at right angles to the direction of sun exposure. The angle of insolation depends on the time of year and day, so the battery should be positioned in accordance with the height of the Sun, during the period of the greatest amount of energy coming from it. For the Moscow area and the Moscow region, batteries are usually installed at an angle of 30-60 degrees to the horizon. Moreover, the modules for all-season operation are located at an inclination of 60 degrees, taking into account the lower sun and in order to prevent the accumulation of snow. It is also necessary to ensure free circulation of air between the solar panel and the roof for natural cooling of the battery itself. Usually a clearance of 3-5 cm is sufficient.
