An answering machine is a service designed to help you not miss an important call. If you are not currently able to pick up the phone, the phone will allow the caller to leave a voice message. However, not everyone likes to use such a service, especially since it is paid.
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to get rid of your answering machine, contact the service center of your cellular company. This is often the smartest and most convenient way to disable unnecessary services without any problems. Come with your passport and refuse the answering machine, the disconnection will be made free of charge. In addition, you can find out what other paid services are connected to your SIM card. It is possible that you will find some other unnecessary opportunities that cost you a lot of money.
Step 2
Use a mobile assistant. For MTS - this is the number 0890, for Beeline - 111, Megafon - 0567. Call the operator you need and ask to turn off the answering machine. Wait for your request to be confirmed.
Step 3
Dial the special code that allows you to disconnect from the service. It has its own for each operator:
- MTS - ## 002 #, and then the call button;
- Beeline - * 110 * 010 # and press the dialing button;
- Megafon - * 105 * 602 * 0 # and then the call button. Your phone should receive a message from the telecom operator that the service has been disabled. If the request remains unanswered, call the operator directly.
Step 4
Log in to the operator's website. The registration procedure will not take very long, but after it you will be able to manage your phone: choose the services you need and refuse unnecessary ones. Enter your phone number and see what features this SIM card has. You will also receive full information about the services provided and, perhaps, change your mind about abandoning the answering machine if you know all of its properties.
Step 5
Some operators, for example Life, automatically connect an answering machine when the subscriber is out of the network coverage area. Such an answering machine can be configured using the following codes:
- Complete shutdown - ## 002 #;
- ** 67 * 5100 # - turn on the answering machine only if the line is busy;
- ** 62 * 5100 # - call forwarding if you are out of the access area;
- ** 21 * 5100 # - forwarding of all incoming calls.
