The PIN code is used to protect your phone's SIM card and bank account from strangers. But if banks do not recommend their customers to write down the PIN code, then you will not be able to unlock the phone without the PUK code indicated in the same place as the PIN.
Instructions
Step 1
If you, having decided to withdraw money from the card account in the bank, entered the PIN code incorrectly three times, then your card will be automatically blocked. Depending on which bank card you use, it can be unlocked in a day (Sberbank) or only upon your contact with a bank branch.
Step 2
Banks that issue only credit cards ("Russian Standard", etc.) usually offer their customers to use the services of the Call Center in order to unblock the card. Answer the operator's questions regarding the number of the concluded contract, passport data and code word and unblock the card.
Step 3
In the event that you have forgotten the PIN-code of your card, go directly to the bank branch with your passport and your copy of the agreement (if any). To unlock the card, you will also need to name the code word (usually the mother's maiden name, pet's nickname, etc.). You can withdraw money through an ATM only after your request to change the PIN-code (and it will have to be changed) is satisfied at the central office of the credit institution. However, having a passport in hand, you can always withdraw the amount you need from an account in any branch of this bank by contacting the operator.
Step 4
If you entered the PIN code incorrectly three times while trying to unlock your phone, the system will ask for the PUK code you received when you bought a new SIM card. However, if you do not know the PUK code, then after ten incorrect attempts to dial it, the system will block the SIM card forever, and you will have to buy a new one.
Step 5
Call from another number to the support service of your mobile operator, dictate your phone number and passport data. It is possible that the dispatcher will provide you with information about the PUK code (unfortunately, this service is not provided by all telecom operators).
Step 6
Contact your carrier's office and ask to unblock the PIN. Provide the manager with your passport and, if available, a contract.
