Instructions

Step 1

In order to transfer the official maps to the navigator, visit the manufacturer's official website, for example, for Garmin navigators this is https://www.garmin.ru/maps/, for Navitel - https://navitel.su/ua/support/instructions/navitel-ppc-instruction-maps/, for Avtosputnik navigators - autosputnik.com, and follow the instructions indicated. If you install unofficial maps, that is, those downloaded from the Internet, then check if the format of the downloaded map is suitable for your navigator, that is, compare its format with the format of the maps already installed on the device

Step 2

You have a Navitel navigator, then remove the flash card with the program from it and connect it to the computer. In the root directory, create a folder for downloaded maps, for example, mymaps, in this folder - a directory with the name of the region that you will add, for example, Novgorodregion, and transfer your maps to this folder.

Step 3

Insert the flash card extracted from the computer into the navigator, select the "Open atlas" item in the Navitel program and select the folder icon at the bottom of the window to create a new atlas. In the window that appears, select the folder with the name of the region (in our case, it is Novgorodregion), click "Create atlas", wait for the indexing to end (it may take up to two hours) and put a check mark in the window that appears. The installed maps are now available in the list of atlases.

Step 4

If you have a Garmin navigator, connect your device to your computer. Download and install MapSource software on your computer. You can find the program on Garmin.com under Support - Software - Mapping Programs. Unpack the archives with the downloaded maps into separate folders and run the INSTALL file for each of the maps. Start the installed MapSource and select Utilities, then Manage Map Products. In the list of available cards that appears in the left corner, select the cards you want and click the "Send to device" button in the upper taskbar. Maps will become available on your navigator.

Step 5

If you have an Avtosputnik navigator, then transfer the downloaded maps as official ones, skipping the registration step.
