A regular remote control does not require configuration. If you have purchased a universal remote control, it will work with your TV only after preliminary preparation. Some of them require learning commands from the original remote control, others - programming the model number of the device.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy the so-called learning console only if you have the original one. Press the button on it intended to start training (its name depends on the type of device).
Step 2
Select one of several devices that you are going to control, and then, pointing the remotes at each other, successively press the buttons on the learning and original remote control. In some devices, you first need to press a button on the learning remote control, and then the corresponding key on the original, and in others - vice versa.
Step 3
After completing the tutorial, press the key intended to exit this mode. Do not throw away the original remote control - after replacing the batteries in the trainee, you will need it again.
Step 4
If the remote is programmable, first look in the instructions for the digital codes that correspond to the manufacturers of the equipment you have and scribble them on the inside of the battery compartment cover.
Step 5
Save the instructions in case you change one of the devices, the original remotes - too, in case the programmed one breaks down. Press the "PROG" button and simultaneously with it - the device type button (there are six of them). The indicator LED (visible color) lights up.
Step 6
Now enter the numeric code and the LED will turn off. Program the numbers of other devices in the same way.
Step 7
To use both the learning and programmable remote controls, select the device you want to control and the device will switch to command mode for that device. Then use the universal remote control in the same way as with a regular one.
Step 8
When the universal remote control hangs, remove the batteries from it, short-circuit the contacts of the compartment (but by no means the batteries themselves), then, after removing the jumper, reinstall the cells, observing the polarity.
Step 9
Then repeat the teaching or programming. If the cells are discharged, proceed in the same way, but with new batteries.
