Satellite receivers are equipment for receiving a television signal. Accordingly, in order to tune the channels on the receiver, you must first connect it to the TV.
Instructions
Step 1
All standard ports for connecting equipment are located on the back of the receiver. Usually it is already ready to work if there is a signal from the antenna, and a TV is connected to one of the video outputs. Connect the antenna cable to the connector usually labeled LNB in or IF Input. Connect your TV to the SCART or RF Out connector.
Step 2
Sometimes the manufacturer already enters the channels into the receiver's memory, and you just have to familiarize yourself with their list. But if this did not happen and on the TV screen there is only a message about no signal (which means that the receiver is connected to the TV correctly), you will have to tune the channels yourself.
Step 3
Take the remote control of the receiver and press "Menu" (or "Installation") - a dotted rectangle of the menu will appear. Please note that the sections you need may have different names, namely: - "Search";
- "Edit":
- "Basic setting";
- "Information".
Step 4
The first time you set up channels, the system usually asks for the language. Select the language (Russian). If your receiver is not Russified, you will have to leave English. Adjust other basic parameters as well. For example, video signal parameters and current time. If a PIN is required, enter it (default is "0000").
Step 5
First select "Automatic search" for channels (more accurate receiver does not have smart card readers or CI-connectors installed, select the option to search for unencrypted channels only. Note: the receiver's memory is limited to 3000 positions for TV channels and 1000 - for radio broadcasting. After the search is finished click "OK".
Step 6
Set the strength and quality of the signal according to the tuning scales, choosing one channel after another.
