Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your workplace. Lay down unnecessary cloth or paper. This will prevent ink from spilling onto the table surface or carpet. Wear rubber gloves to keep the paint on your hands. Unplug the printer from AC power. Remove the cable that connects the device to the computer or laptop.
Step 2
Remove the upper case. To do this, unscrew the required number of bolts or screws. Try to remember their location. This will allow you to carry out the correct assembly of the device in the future.
Step 3
If there are control keys on the printer body, the top cover will be connected to the board by a ribbon cable. Disconnect it carefully from the board. Be careful not to damage the train.
Step 4
Remove the cartridge from the printer. Place it sideways on the prepared rag. Do not place the cartridge with the holes facing down. This can lead to paint leakage. Now gently clean any dirt from the drum of the printer. It is better to use a special fabric for this. If you are faced with dried paint, then use a special chemical solvent.
Step 5
Wipe the pressure rollers on the printer. To do this, use wet wipes. Follow the same procedure with the printer guide rollers. Remove any residual chemicals if you used them to remove dry paint.
Step 6
Reassemble the printer after completing all the operations described. Do not forget to connect the ribbon cable to the device board. Connect the printer to your computer and plug it into an electrical outlet. Print a test sheet. Make sure the paper is free of debris and smudges. Clean the printer at least once a month. This will significantly extend the life of this device.
