Over time, the parts of the phone's casing wear out, it becomes covered with scuffs and scratches. However, the external parts of the device can always be updated by painting and giving the phone a “second life” appearance. Painting will also help save money on buying a new panel, the price of which hovers around $ 40.
Necessary
- - paint for plastic;
- - primer for plastic;
- - putty and hardener;
- - sandpaper;
- - a set of screwdrivers for disassembling mobile phones
Instructions
Step 1
First, choose a suitable room to paint your phone. This should be a clean, well-ventilated, warm room. Avoid dusty surfaces.
Step 2
Disassemble the phone according to the instructions using the appropriate set of phone disassembly screwdrivers. If you do not have a screwdriver, then cover the parts that do not need to be painted (keyboard, screen) with masking tape.
Step 3
Next, you need to prepare the surface of the case. If there are deep scratches on the panel, it is better to putty them with a thin putty mixed with hardener in a ratio of 1 to 20. Apply the mixture to the damaged areas, let the body dry slightly. Then sand the surface of the panel with fine sandpaper, avoiding the smeared areas. For smoother processing, it is advisable to use a block. Then rinse the case with water to remove any dirt (if the panel is removable).
Step 4
Dry all parts completely. Next, take a special primer for plastic, apply it to the surface and let it dry for a day at temperatures up to 40 degrees.
Step 5
After completely dry, sand the surface again with a sandpaper with a bar. You need to achieve a completely smooth surface. Blow out the panel so that no dust remains. Make sure there are no fingerprints, greasy swelling.
Step 6
Start spraying paint 30 centimeters from the panel to avoid dripping. It is advisable to use a metallic dye that adheres more tightly to the plastic. After 20 minutes, reapply the paint, and after another 20 minutes, reapply the varnish. The second coat is applied after 15 minutes. Then you can apply the desired pattern, and then apply two more coats of varnish with an interval of 5 minutes.
Step 7
Dry the case again at room temperature for 24 hours. Assemble the body, painting is complete.
